Paul de Jong is a Voice and Speech Instructor and Coach with over twenty years of experience.
He is a member of the core coaching team at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival and teaches at their Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre. He is also a Professor of Voice and Speech at the Humber College Theatre Performance Program where he recently completed a three year appointment as Director of the program and where he also served as the Head of Voice for six years.
Paul has taught at the National Theatre School of Canada, the Centre for Indigenous Theatre, the George Brown Theatre School, the Randolph Academy of Performing Arts, as well as at colleges in the United Kingdom. He received his Masters in Voice Studies from the Central School of Speech and Drama (University of London, England) and is a graduate of the Stratford Festival Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training.
As a free-lance coach, Paul has worked on productions for companies such as Soulpepper, Globe Theatre, Artistic Fraud, Grand Theatre and Shakespeare by the Sea.
