Marina Endicott’s last novel, Close to Hugh, was long-listed for the Giller Prize and named one of CBC’s Best Books of 2015. Her first, Open Arms, was a finalist for the Amazon First Novel award; her second, Good to a Fault, was a finalist for the 2008 Scotiabank Giller Prize and a CBC Canada Reads nominee, and won the 2009 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best Book, Canada/Caribbean. Her third, The Little Shadows, also on the Giller long list, was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Literary Award. She teaches creative writing in the Banff Centre’s May Studios, at the University of Toronto’s Summer School of Creative Writing, and at the University of Alberta. Her new novel, The Difference, is out from Knopf this fall.
