Applicant selection is based on academic criteria and results of these additional requirements. This contains all information to prepare and submit additional requirements for consideration. Applicants are required to submit a resume, essay and attend an information session.
Applicants must submit a detailed resume.
Applicants must submit a one-page essay about a Canadian authored book published within the last year. Include a very brief discussion of the content but place an emphasis on other elements of the book: format, price, cover and interior design, cover copy and any marketing details that may be on the book. Comment on the implications of the choices made in producing and marketing this book and compare it to others in the bookstore.
iii. Information Session
Applicants are required to attend an information session. This information session is a requirement as Creative Book Publishing is a program that relies highly on group work, collaboration and interaction within the classroom environment. Please see “Registration Instructions” below to book your interview.
