Social Commenting Policy

Thanks for following us on social media!

Our mission on social media is to engage individuals and organizations in conversations about the creative & performing arts, as well as to promote Humber-related talent and events.

We encourage fans to share their thoughts and opinions, which can include critical debate and negative comments, and we expect this will be done in a respectful manner.

Humber College School of Creative & Performing Arts does not agree with or endorse every comment posted on our pages. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many individuals as possible and our policy is to permit the majority of comments made to our profiles. 

However, comments will be deleted if they contain:

  • Hate speech
  • Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
  • Nudity in profile pictures
  • Defamation to a person or people
  • Name calling and/or personal attacks
  • Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product
  • Comments that infringe on copyrights
  • Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly on a profile
  • Other comments that the Humber College School of Creative & Performing Arts Social Media team deems inappropriate

All links posted as comments on Humber College School of Creative & Performing Arts posts will be reviewed and may be deleted.

Repeated violations of this policy may cause users to be blocked from Humber College's School of Creative & Performing Arts social media profiles.

We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not, and we may not see inappropriate comments right away. We trust our community not to engage in personal attacks or hate speech, and to report comments we may have missed.
