An award-winning author and screenwriter, Globe and Mail columnist Jeffrey Simpson called Andrew “the foremost chronicler of Canadian comedy."  He writes the "Road Sage" humour column for the Globe and Mail. His first book, Stand and Deliver: Inside Canadian Comedy, was an examination of Canadian comedy from both a historical and pop culture perspective. His last book, A Keen Soldier: The Execution of Second World War Private Harold Pringle, was nominated for the Pearson Writers' Trust Non-fiction Prize, Drainie-Taylor Biography Prize and the Governor General's Award for Literary Non-fiction. He was a contributing editor for The Walrus Magazine and has written for such publications as Maclean’sThe Toronto Star and The New York Times. He produced an NFB documentary entitled The Next Big Thing. Andrew teaches a course in Comedy History and in comic script writing. (www.andrewclark.ca)
