The program's second and final formal field placement is 300 hours in length. It can be paid or unpaid. Some students complete the placement full-time for 8-9 weeks over the summer, or part-time for a longer duration, or the requirement may be deferred to the fall if absolutely necessary to find an optimal placement. Faculty members provide introductions and position descriptions for postings, and guide and support students to acquire placements, but do not guarantee an opportunity for each student, nor do they "broker" each relationship. This placement is intended to be immersive, and job-related. Past placements include carrying out major programming, developing and conducting marketing research, managing sponsors and working on significant fundraising efforts.
